Congratulations to our newest Journeyman, Jonathan R.!

A young college student, facing thousands in debt, working three jobs to try and pay for his tuition – Jonathan was initially drawn to the SRAA by “This idea of self-fulfillment” and that “[he] couldn’t perceive the world as it really was, and was wandering around like a rat in a maze.”

Jonathan accepted the offer to receive the first sacrament on the Path, and to join the SRAA as a Journeyman. His experience during the meditation is as follows (With the non-public parts of the ritual edited out):

“The Arbiters led me to ***** home, where I was asked to reaffirm my commitment to Rebirth. I did so, and then gave the first Oath. At this time, Master Musubi-Kurobi himself offered and explain the Sacred Sage, its purpose and use. I was asked if I wished to utilize the Sacrament and become a Journeyman, or refrain and attempt my journey as a Seeker. I accepted, and was led to the *****.”

The ritual is set up, and begins. With Master Kurobi administering the Sacred Sage. Jonathan attempts to relate his experiences.

“The voice of Master Kurobi became something greater, I closed my eyes and each word became a new dimension on the inside of my lids. No longer English nouns or verbs, but cosmic entities of astounding color and motion. I felt a presence in this new universe, and understood it to be my past self, and I realized that I had been living without knowledge of this underlying expanse, this true reality. Hours later, after I had returned from my meditation, I felt cleansed and happy, truly content for the first time in my adult life, like a child that has grasped some important concept.”

Again, the initiates of all levels wish to welcome their newest Brother onto the Path.
